We'd like to welcome our new Spanish teacher, Jana Jory! Jana comes well-prepared to continue our Spanish program, with an MA in Teaching International Languages. She has lived in Spain, Mexico, and Chile and has 20 years of experience teaching Spanish, including as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas. Her teaching philosophy is that "learning should be fun and practical, it should not feel tedious or burdensome. While reading/writing/listening/speaking are all emphasized, she believes a special focus should be given to pronunciation. Creating real-life situations with the language is vital to growth and retention." Please join us and "meet the teacher" on September 4!
